MISSION STATEMENT

The Giving Back the Gift of Life Foundation is a volunteer based, non-profit foundation which seeks to change the social and economic development within the inner city through dynamic leadership development programs, awards, and scholarships that will improve, empower and prolong the life of our men, women and children. The organization was formed to create a void within the community and provide assistance to our schools, charities, and develop programs that will assist underserved communities specifically within the Bronzeville, Kenwood-Oakland, Hyde Park and South Shore areas.

ABOUT US

Giving Back the Gift of Life Foundation was founded by Kim Thomas and Paula McGuire as a way to not only celebrate a birthday, but the gift of life that God has given us each day. Two extraordinary women of God, who desired a way to serve their purpose and make a difference within the communities in which they live.

SERVICES

Giving Back the Gift of Life Foundation is creating the following services to foster and improve the social development of our community:

  • Credit & Financial Planning Service
  • Leadership Development Program 
  • Charities and schools within the community that seek to foster social and economic programs but lack funding assistance
  • Lucinda Martin Scholarship - will be awarded to a high school senior in financial need that demonstrates outstanding academic and community service.
